Jefferson Bank and Trust Financial Statement December 31, 2004

Letter From Our Chairman

TO OUR GOOD FRIENDS,

The nation’s healthy economy continued to march during 2005 and our metropolitan area shared in the economic good news.  Downtown investment accelerated and residential and retail development spread in all four directions despite rising rates.  For that reason, we are optimistic about the area’s continued good fortune and Jefferson’s in particular.  During the year, our assets increased 6% and earnings improved by 14.4%.

These numbers reflect not only the hard work of our team members and our local economy but are also indicative of the increased opportunity for relationship acquisition resulting from continuing bank consolidation.  Bank mergers will likely continue throughout 2006 and Jefferson Bank is poised to gain market share.  We are, therefore, most optimistic about the coming year.

You are cordially invited to expand your relationship with the bank.  Real folks answer the phone here and our most important product is old-fashioned service.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Ross,
Chairman of the Board
